Zenit (St. Petersburg) appealed to FIFA for Manchini

The leadership of Zenit (St. Petersburg) intends to file a complaint with the FIFA against the Federation of Italy, which is negotiating with Roberto Mancini without informing the Russians, according to the Gazzeta dello sport.

It is noted that Zenith hopes to get compensation in the event of leaving Mancini, which is logical in terms of the contracts. On Tuesday, the president of the Italian Football Federation, Roberto Fabrizini, said the coach himself was interested in working with Scuadra Azzura. In his words, the leadership met with former Manchester City and Inter marshals on Monday and discussed the details of the work.

According to the rules, Italians have the right to negotiate only if the employer of the coach gives written consent to this.

The 53-year-old specialist was appointed to Zenith at the beginning of June 2017 and will soon make one year in office. However, his contract is for 3 years with an extension option of two more. Also Manchini`s coaching experience is complemented by periods in Fiorentina, Lazio, Galatasaray. His card as a coach has won three titles in Italy, four Cups of the country, one England champion, the English Cup, the Super Cup of England, the Supercup of Italy and the Supercup of Turkey.

The crisis in the Italian federation broke out with full force after the team dropped out of the World Cup in Russia next month. This happened for the first time since 1958, and until now the Italians have been threatened but still at the last minute they are taking the quota. Against Sweden, however, they did not have this chance.

This led not only to the dismissal of coach Canniero Ventura, but also to the resignation of the President of the Federation Carlo Taveccio. At the moment, Luigi di Biagio- mentor of the youngsters up to 21 years old, is a temporary coach for the controls this spring.
